However it also seems to have become a tradition for me to get an epic cold just before, during or after the show and this year was no different! I hope everyone else who came down with Ally Pally flu has fully recovered?!
This year we partnered with Lady Sew and Sew and had a lovely bunch of Rowan designers including Lisa Richardson, Martin Storey, Dee Hardwicke and Georgina Farrell who has just launched her lovely new book Inspired Knits. We also had lots of gorgeous new yarns including the fabulous Camello which is limited edition (buy it now!).
We had a beautiful new cabinet for displaying garments and accessories… I’d quite like one of these at home (with those amazing scarves too!)
The Cute Comfort Knits got lots of cuddles – thank you to everyone who came to say hello. Don’t forget to tag me when you share pics of your projects on Instagram!
And I did my usual trick of buying more fabric and patterns to add to my stash! But I was very reserved and only bought two patterns and a small amount of fabric. I got the Grainline Studio Scout Tee pattern which was already on my shopping list (Eternal Maker are posting that to me so it’s not in the pic below), some fabric to make the tee and a shirt dress pattern which I just couldn’t resist.
But I’m not going to just stash this fabric and patterns…I’m going to sew stuff! I’ve said it on here now so you’re all my accountability partners okay?!
I’m signing myself up for a ten week dressmaking course starting in January and have so many plans! I think attending a course will motivate me to do more sewing because I will have some dedicated time for it and also boost my confidence because I will have someone there to guide me.
